Tesla Selling 2021 Model 3 Demo Cars With Degraded Four Year Old Battery Packs
In what has become a rather bizarre discovery, Tesla is selling 2021 Model 3s with battery packs from 2017. The vehicles come with a small disclaimer at the bottom of the web page saying, “Range figures may be up to 12% lower [than rated by the EPA] due to battery age.” As we all know, battery capacity reduces over time, explaining the disclaimer. But what isn’t quite so clear is how Tesla’s eight-year 100,000 miles warranty for its vehicles’ batteries with a minimum of 70 percent retention of battery capacity will work. Nor is it explained why such cars exist for sale in the first place.
2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Gets A Range Boost Thanks To Added Battery Capacity
Ford’s 2022 Mustang Mach-E is getting a bit of an upgrade for the 2022 model year. Ford has increased the battery capacity of all variants. Models equipped with the standard range battery previously offered up 68 kWh of usable capacity, but in 2022, that has been increased to 70 kWh. In addition, the useable capacity of extended range models has jumped from 88 kWh to 91 kWh. Confirmation of just how much extra range this will add hasn’t yet come through, but estimates put it at between 5–10 miles.
Jeep Renegade Is Receiving Another Facelift In Brazil, Will Get 180 HP 1.3-Liter Turbocharged Engine
After eight long years, Jeep’s Renegade is getting a second facelift — although, for now, it’s not clear whether it’ll apply to the rest of the world. The new car gets the Brazilian-spec locally-produced 1.3-liter T270 turbo-flex engine with a power output of 180 hp (petrol) or 185 hp (ethanol) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. Visually, the camouflage conceals the bumpers, which means we expect only mild revisions.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Gains Front Passenger Display And Amazon Fire TV
The Grand Cherokee L may have only been introduced last year, but the SUV is already getting a raft of upgrades for the 2022 model year. Many of the updates occur in the cabin as the 2022 Grand Cherokee L can be equipped with a new 10.25-inch display for the front passenger, as well as the addition of a new rear-seat entertainment system that features two 10.1-inch displays with Amazon Fire TV. Also new are a few colors and “Limited Black” or “Summit High Altitude” styling packages.
Roush Gives The Ford Bronco A Modest Makeover
Think Roush, and you’d typically think Mustang. But the American tuning company has now turned its hand to Ford’s Bronco, with a new “kit-in-a-box product.” It includes an air induction system, a three-inch axle-back stainless steel exhaust system, 17-inch wheels, and some updates inside the cabin.
