The new Ford Ranger has all the right ingredients to be a significant improvement over its predecessor and soon, it will also spawn a new flagship Raptor variant.
While details about the new Ranger Raptor haven’t been announced yet, we expect it to follow largely the same recipe as the outgoing model. That means we will see various visual and mechanical modifications compared to the standard model.

To imagine what the new Ranger Raptor could look like, X-Tomi Design has created a detailed rendering of the pickup truck. Various changes have been made to it, including the fitment of a distinctive black grille with Ford lettering, red tow hooks, a silver skid plate, small LEDs above the grille, and a new hood with a pronounced power bulge.
Elsewhere, the Ranger Raptor has been rendered with flared front and rear wheel arches and sits on black wheels shod in mud-terrain tires, and it also sports various Raptor graphics.
Powertrain details about the new model remain unconfirmed. The most likely engine set to power the pickup is either Ford’s 2.7-liter EcoBoost from the Bronco or the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 petrol mill from the Ford Explorer ST. If Ford chooses the latter, that would give the pickup 400 hp and 415 lb-ft (562 Nm), a serious amount of grunt for a pickup of this size and not significantly less than the F-150 Raptor with its 450 hp and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm).
