The new Ford Bronco has been proven to be quite a hit, but one thing some are still clamoring for is a version with 8 cylinders. Enter this 1973 Bronco restomod, which is essentially in like-new condition and features a Mustang’s V8 under the hood.

Listed for sale on Bring A Trailer, there have only been 130 miles (209 km) added to the Bronco since the restoration, though total mileage is unknown. All the original paperwork from 1973 is included in the sale, as well as full documentation of the build process.

The exterior is finished in a classy shade of British Racing Green, which is complemented nicely by bronze wheels and trim along with red badging throughout. Other exterior accessories include fender flares, custom bumpers, and tinted glass for style, as well as a Warn winch, LED lighting, and power-retractable running boards for function. And going back to that gorgeous paintwork, to achieve it, the SUV’s body (including the hardtop) was media blasted down to bare metal and placed on a rotisserie before being refinished in the metallic hue along with multiple subsequent clear coats.

The Bronco’s interior also displays a similar level of refinement and attention to detail. For one, the tan leather upholstery is completely custom, and it can be found on the front seats, center console, rear bench, dashboard, headliner, steering wheel, and door cards. But aside from that, the SUV also includes a host of modern amenities, some of which include a Vintage Air climate control system, a RetroSound stereo with Bluetooth, a new speaker system, and a new gauge cluster and steering wheel.

Finally, there’s the main event: the engine. Powering the Bronco is the same 5.0L “Coyote” V8 found in modern Mustangs to make sure the restomod isn’t all show and no go. It sends its power to the rear or all four wheels by way of a 6-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 20 transfer case, and it even has its cover painted green to match the engine bay and exterior. Other mechanical upgrades include a new exhaust system, a 3.5″ suspension lift, new shocks, and new sway bars.
