Two years after the introduction of the Brabus 800 Adventure XLP, a stretched pick-up conversion of the G-Class featuring portal axles, a full bodykit and a heavily tuned AMG engine, the German tuner hits back with the dark-themed “Superblack” variant.

The transformation of the G-Class includes the Widestar bodykit with carbon fiber accents (grille, bumpers, vented hood, wide fenders, side steps, side-mounted exhaust pipes, etc). Additionally, the Adventure XLP gets the dual-cab full pickup conversion increasing its length to 17.4 feet (5.31 m) long. A front winch, a roof rack with extra LEDs, and a full-size spare wheel mounted on the rear bed bring more adventure into the mix, while the 22-inch Brabus Monoblock HD forged wheels are designed for “heavy-duty off-road use”, shod in Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires (325/55
R22).

Most importantly, like in every Adventure XLP, the suspension has been overhauled featuring front and rear portal axles designed by Brabus, resulting in a massive ground clearance of 19.2 inches (488 mm). The Brabus Ride Control suspension module is fully adjustable, with most of its parts milled from billet aluminum.

Under the bonnet, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 has been tuned to produce 789 hp (588 kW / 800 PS) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox. This kind of power is good enough to accelerate the massive body from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.8 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 130 mph (210 km/h). Still, Brabus suggests it is one of the fastest pickups in the world, although most sane people wouldn’t want to go that fast in a lifted and heavyweight G-Wagen pickup.

The tuner didn’t neglect the interior, giving it the handcrafted “Brabus Masterpiece” treatment with an all-black theme. This includes bespoke fine leather upholstery on the seats, door cards, footwells, and trim elements, combined with plenty of carbon-fiber trim on the center console and black trim all over the cabin. The Superblack also gets the “Heritage” pattern celebrating over 40 years of Brabus, with 77 graphics embossed on the headliner and door cards.

The pictured Brabus 800 Adventure XLP Superblack is currently listed for sale, priced at a whopping €726,259.38 ($824,195) with a mileage of 1,000 km (621 miles). If you are interested in your own personalized XLP, Brabus will deliver it to you in 6 to 12 months. You should know however that by that time, Mercedes will likely have already launched both a facelifted variant of the G-Class, and the off-road-focused G-Class 4×4², although none of them will come as close as the Brabus XLP in terms of pricing and exclusivity.
