The only thing more American than the wild excess of a ’70s Cadillac is Elvis Presley. So a Caddy once owned by the king must surely be worth a pretty penny.
Bought new by Presley, this 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham was bought new by Elvis Presley himself on September 26, 1974, for the princely sum of $12,512, which amounts to $70,541 in today’s money. That’s not bad when you consider that it came with a host of options like Vogue tires, a “full cap,” a hood-mounted “Goddess,” and a sunroof.
Inside, meanwhile, it boasts richly patterned velour seats that remind me of my grandmother, for some reason. Regardless, they are in good condition, though the rest of the interior is looking pretty worn.

Although this car has spent at least a portion of its life as a show car, it’s a little rough around the edges. Still, it’s almost entirely complete, save for a Cadillac wreath on one of the C-pillars, some cracking on the steering wheel, and a few other signs of age.
The engine isn’t running anymore, but the seller says that there have been no catastrophic faults, it’s just a victim of disuse. As a result, its 500 cubic-inch (8.2-liter) V8 should rumble back to life without too much trouble.
So it’s a project, less pristine than interesting, but the car shows no signs of rust and it likely wouldn’t take much work to bring it back to presentability. It also comes with excellent documentation, including the bill of sale with Elvis’ signature, and more.
Although he bought it just three years before his untimely passing, he got everything he wanted out of it, gifting it to his doctor in 1976. Neither drove it very much because it only has 1,725 miles (2,776 km) on the odometer, but Dr. G. Nichopoulos did hang onto it until 1985 when he sold it on to its current owner (though that owner sold it and bought it back in the intervening years).
Offered for auction by the U.K.’s Car and Classic it’s actually in Sweden right now so bear that in mind. The auction starts on January 8.
