Fiat’s revival is picking up steam as spy photographers have snapped a new crossover undergoing cold weather testing.
While the model is heavily disguised, it resembles the Opel Mokka and appears to share lighting units with the crossover.
However, spy photographers believe this is actually a mule for an upcoming Fiat. That remains unconfirmed, but they suggest the model will ride on the CMP platform that underpins the Mokka as well as an assortment of other models including the DS3 Crossback and Peugeot 2008.

This makes sense as Stellantis has already announced Fiat will launch a new B-Segment model in 2023 and said it will become the brand’s first vehicle based on a “common platform.” Officials didn’t say much about it, but indicated the model would be offered with hybrid powertrains.
While the vehicle was originally believed to be a Punto successor, a crossover would make a lot more sense given consumer preferences. It’s also believed the vehicle could eschew the Punto name and adopt the classic Uno moniker. If that’s the case, Fiat would be reviving an iconic name that dates back to the 1980’s and was most recently used on Brazil’s Novo Uno which recently went out of production.
Of course, it’s too early to say anything definitive and we’ll likely learn more in the coming months.
