By now we all know that the new Ford F-150 Lightning shares its electric Lightning designation with a performance trim from older F-150s. And while the name is very fitting for an electric pickup truck, it left some people wishing Ford would’ve offered a variant that leaned more into its performance-focused heritage, at least in its appearance.

Famous automotive performance company Holley seemed to feel so too, as they decided to render the new Lightning as if it were that same performance truck of old.

It’s worth mentioning that this is purely a visual exercise by Holley, as the all-electric Lightning certainly isn’t lacking in performance. With 563 hp (571 PS / 420 kW) and 775 lb-ft (1,051 Nm) of torque on tap in its top-spec, the new Lightning is more powerful than any F-150 to date, including both previous iterations of the Lightning. And with a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) time of around 4.5 seconds, it’s quicker than them too.

As any Lightning enthusiast will probably tell you, the only proper configuration for one is a two-door, but to avoid straying too far from the actual 4-door design, Holley compromised and based their design off a SuperCab with a 6.5-foot bed. After that, the most prominent modifications include a widebody kit, lowered suspension, and new 20-inch wheels with meatier performance tires. There are also new ground-hugging front and rear bumpers, a ducktail spoiler on the tailgate, and SVT Lightning decals on the bed.

We’d say this muscled-out Lightning certainly looks the part, and we’d love to see Ford make something like it in the future despite the near-zero chance of it actually happening.
