2021 was a year many people would like to forget, but it’s one Lamborghini will remember as they achieved an all-time delivery record of 8,405 units.
That’s a 13% increase from 2020 and the company noted they saw double digit gains in all three of their macro-regions of America, the Asia Pacific, and the EMEA.
The United States was once again the brand’s best individual market as Americans scooped up 2,472 Lamborghinis. It was followed by China, where deliveries increased 55% to 935 units. Germany came in third with 706 deliveries, while the United Kingdom missed the podium with 564 units.

When it comes to the model break down, the Urus was the undisputed champion as customers bought 5,021 units of the high-performance crossover. It was followed by the Huracán, which saw 2,586 sales thanks to strong demand for the 631 hp (470 kW / 640 PS) Huracán STO. The outgoing Aventador was also popular as the company delivered 798 units.
While Lamborghini is patting themselves on the back, they have good reason too thanks to the delivery record and the fact their order portfolio “already covers almost the entire production planned in 2022.” That’s impressive when you consider we’re only 12 days into the new year and it means customers who are on the fence, better make up their mind or be prepared to wait until 2023.
Speaking of the future, Lamborghini revealed plans to introduce four new products in the next 12 months. The company is keeping details under wraps, but one of the models is likely the facelifted Urus. It remains unclear if the Aventador successor will be introduced this year, but the company downplayed that possibility by noting they’ll launch their “first hybrid production model in 2023 and electrify its entire range by the end of 2024.”
On that note, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said “We are stronger than ever as we prepare to embark on a period of profound transformation and move towards an even more sustainable future. In 2022, we’ll be doing our utmost to consolidate the current performance and get ready for the arrival of our future hybrid range from 2023 onwards.”
