The Porsche Taycan range now includes three different bodystyles: the regular Taycan, the adventurous Taycan Cross Turismo, and now the latest Taycan Sport Turismo. The latter was unveiled last November in GTS guise, with Porsche now detailing the entire Sport Turismo range for Europe, mirroring the powertrain options of its siblings.
The new Taycan Sport Turismo is a Cross Turismo for the road, shedding the plastic cladding all around the bodywork for a sleeker look in combination with a standard (lower) ground clearance. The powertrain variants are differentiated with different wheels and extra bits and pieces on the bodykit, like the blacked-out treatment on the GTS or the carbon inserts in the Turbo S.

All Sport Turismos retain the estate-like five-door hatchback silhouette, allowing for a more spacious cabin. Inside, the headroom has been increased by +9 mm (0.4 inches) for the driver and front passenger, and by +45 mm (+1.8 inches) for the rear passengers. Depending on the equipment, the luggage space has a capacity of up to 446 lt (18.8 cubic feet) in its five-seat configuration, reaching up to 1,212 lt (42.8 cubic feet) with the rear seats folded, plus the 84-liter (3 cubic feet) frunk. The trunk opening is also larger than in the regular Taycan.
The dashboard is shared with the Taycan which means it retains the multi-screen layout and the latest version of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment with navigation, plus improved Voice Pilot and Charging Planner systems. The optional panoramic roof with Sunshine Control technology sheds more light into the cabin when needed since the nine sections can be controlled individually to be transparent or opaque. Finally, there is the optional Remote Park Assist allowing the driver to enter and leave a parking space without entering the vehicle. All variants besides the base model feature Adaptive Air Suspension with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).

The Taycan Sport Turismo is available with the same powertrain options as the regular Taycan. This means that the base model is rear-wheel drive and all other variants are all-wheel-drive. The base Taycan and Taycan 4S are available with the standard 79.2 kWh battery, but you can also get the optional 93.4 kWh Performance Battery Plus which brings more power and an increased WLTP range of up to 498 km (309 miles).
Standard power outputs are 322 hp (240 kW / 326 PS), or 376 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) for the Sport Turismo, 429 hp (320 kW / 435 PS), or 483 hp (360 kW / 490 PS) for the 4S, 510 hp (380 kW / 517 PS) for the GTS, and 617 hp (460 kW / 625 PS) for the Turbo and the Turbo S. All of them are offering an overboost mode for even more power that can reach up to 751 hp (560 kW / 761 PS) in the flagship Turbo S. Thanks to that, the latter accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/h (162 mph).
Porsche announced pricing for the UK market which ranges from £73,560 ($100,156) for the base Taycan Sport Turismo all the way up to £140,080 ($190,726) for the Turbo S performance flagship. The new Taycan Sport Turismo will launch in Europe in February 2022, starting with the GTS, while the other variants will be available from mid-March.
Concerning the US market, Porsche Cars North America sent us the following statement: “The Taycan Sport Turismo will continue to be offered solely as a GTS in the United States, as it represents the optimal blend of performance and utility for this model variant”. This means we won’t be seeing any other variants of the wagon in the US, limiting the offerings to 10 models including five Taycans, four Taycan Cross Turismos, and one Taycan Sport Turismo.
