Restored 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Has Its Original 428 Cubic-Inch V8

A thoroughly restored 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 will cross the auction block during Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction running from January 22-30.

This Mustang will be offered with no reserve and was rotisserie-restored by Marcus Anghel, returning it to its former glory. The listing reveals that mostly original and NOS parts were used during the restoration and while no pre-auction sales estimate has been published, the car can be expected to fetch a pretty penny.

Adorning the exterior of the Mach 1 is a shade of purple that is contrasted by a matte black Shaker hood and yellow accents running along the pony car’s sides and across the rear fascia. It also features chrome front and rear bumpers and rolls on a set of chrome wheels shod in Goodyear tires.

A look inside the cabin reveals black leather seats, a three-spoke steering wheel with a wooden rim, various wooden accents across the dashboard, and lap belts.

Found beneath the Shaker hood is a naturally aspirated 428 cubic-inch V8 with matching numbers that’s coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. The listing doesn’t reveal how much power this engine has after being restored, nor does it state how many miles the car has traveled. Nevertheless, the engine bay looks immaculate and the car has clearly been well maintained. The listing adds that the Mach 1 was awarded a Concours Trailered Gold in 2015 at MCA and a Heritage Gold at the Mid-America Concours in Oklahoma back in 2015.
