The Enyaq Coupe iV electric crossover will be premiering at the end of the month. To whet the appetite of anyone looking forward to the crossover-fastback’s new design, Skoda has unveiled a series of design sketches.
The coupe-ifying of the Enyaq iV is more than just an exercise in out-niching a niche, as the new body style is said to benefit from improved aerodynamics. Skoda says this translates into an even better range than that of the SUV, which offers up to 317 miles (510 km) in its longest-range variation. With the coupe boasting a drag coefficient of 0.247 cd instead of 0.27 cd, its range will be around 332 miles (534 km).
Aside from the new sheet metal at the back, the Enyaq Coupe iV will share a lot with its SUV relation. Although there’s a sporty front apron, the real changes only start from the B-pillar backward, as evidenced by the sketches. These illustrations depict the car having body-colored side skirts and large wheels, which Skoda says gives the model a “powerful appearance.”

The rear adopts the fastback-inspired tapering roofline, with large Skoda lettering in block capitals — as is the trend don’t you know — coupled with the brand’s signature C-shaped taillights.
Built on the VW Group’s MEB platform, along with other cars such as the VW ID.5 and Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback. The coupe-SUV is being billed as the brand’s four-door flagship, which means that the Enyaq iV Coupe will likely do without the entry-level variants that the SUV features. Instead, The Enyaq Coupé iV will be available with two battery sizes and three outputs featuring rear or all-wheel-drive. There may even be a vRS-inspired variant in the near future as well.
The final public reveal of the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV will take place digitally, at the car’s world Premiere, in Prague, on January 31, 2022.
