The Slantnose is one of the most memorable iterations of the Porsche 911 and one enthusiast is now making a Slantnose package for the 996-generation 911.
This particular Porsche is being modified by Crucible Coachworks in Pennsylvania and while it is still a work in progress, a couple of videos uploaded to YouTube by the owner of the shop shows just how much work that is going into the kit.

All of the car’s new body panels are being hand cut and hand-rolled from lightweight sheet metal and renderings of the car in its completed form reveal just how radical the new looks will be.
To create the 996 Slantnose, all new front quarter panels have been formed for the sports car which flow neatly alongside the standard hood and give the 911 that iconic design. Elsewhere, Crucible Coachworks is hand forming new side skirts for the car while also crafting flared rear wheel arches.
The presence of new front quarter panels also means the car’s standard headlights have been removed and whereas original Slantnose models had pop-up headlights, this car will be equipped with thin LED headlights located between the quarter panels and the front bumper.
Modifications continue at the rear with a unique bumper and diffuser package that will also have an impact on the aerodynamics of the car. The taillights will also be altered and when equipped with a set of deep-dish wheels and with a lowered suspension system, this 996 will look unlike any other.
