Any car equipped with a ‘GT’ badge from Porsche is special and it goes without saying that the 991-generation 911 GT2 RS is one of the most remarkable GT models ever produced.
Powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six churning out 690 hp, the 911 GT2 RS is one of the quickest production cars to ever lap the Nurburgring and will be no doubt become a true collector’s item in the decades to come. For as impressive as the standard car is, however, a German tuner by the name of Friedrich Performance Manufaktur (FPM) thought it could make it even faster and has extensively modified the supercar.

Featured in a recent episode of The Supercar Diaries from Novitec, this GT2 RS has been fitted with enlarged turbochargers, new intercoolers, and a bespoke intake system that allows it to pump out 1,018 hp. Also helping to achieve this remarkable figure is an ECU tune and a bespoke exhaust system, providing the car with a very distinctive soundtrack.
A number of visual alterations have also been made to the car. For example, the front end has been fitted with an extended splitter and there are also additional aerodynamic canards.
While driving the car, the presenter is obviously left stunned by the performance on offer and notes that it doesn’t even have the loudest exhaust system that FPM sells. Nevertheless, it has enough power to leave a standard GT2 RS for dead and is a proper race car for the road.
