An exceptionally rare 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RSX is currently up for sale in the UK.

The car was brought to life by Ralliart UK and is based on the standard Evo VI RS. As such, it lacks the fancy Active Yaw Control of other Evo models and doesn’t even have ABS. However, it makes up for this with a lightweight aluminum hood and front wings, a stiffer shell, quicker steering, and a stripped-out interior. All this resulted in a saving of 110kg or around 242 pounds over other EVO 6 models.

Powering the Evo VI is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four delivering 280 PS / 276 hp and 373 Nm / 275 lb-ft of peak torque.

The Piston Heads listing reveals that production of the RSX was capped at just 30 units, of which just 10 were painted in Satellite Silver. This example was built in 1999 and first registered in May of 2000. It was owned for 14 years by a Hong Kong-based lawyer and received a number of modifications, including a three-point strut brace, Proflex suspension with external reservoirs, AP Racing six-piston brake calipers, an upgraded ECU, 3-inch HKS exhaust, HKS intake, and Evo 7 wheels.

When the lawyer was done with the car, he sold it to the founder of Ralliart UK, Jon Kirkham, before it traded hands again in 2017.

The listing reveals that the car has been driven 53,000 miles (85,295 km) since new and has extensive service history. It has an asking price of £45,000 ($61,546) and while that’s not cheap, it is roughly £20,000 ($27,353) less than an Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition.

Images of the car show that it has been well maintained over the years and the silver paint is free of any obvious damage. The interior also looks very clean with minimal signs of wear on the Recaro SR seats.
