Restomods can be quite hit or miss but we think you’ll agree that this 1973 Dodge Challenger is just about as good as they get.

This Challenger has been restored and modified by Streamline Custom Designs and was unveiled at SEMA 2021. It has been nicknamed the ‘Chastizer’ and has undergone significant alterations both inside, outside, and under the skin. It will be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson during its Scottsdale auction running from January 22-30.

Underpinning the car is a custom tube chassis that incorporates a roll cage. New body panels have been fitted, including a revised front bumper, grille, and headlight surrounds, as well as a distinctive rear bumper. The muscle car also features a bespoke hood with air intakes. All exterior parts are bathed in PPH Envirobase Streamline Slate Grey. It also sports Schott center-locking wheels measuring 19×9 at the front and 20×12 at the rear.

Elsewhere, Streamline Custom Designs has equipped the Challenger with a Ford 9-inch rear end, QA1 adjustable coilovers at all four corners, and potent Wilwood brakes both front and rear.

Power comes courtesy of a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with a Magnuson supercharger that’s paired to a Paramount 45RFE automatic transmission. A custom exhaust system was also manufactured for the car and includes MagnaFlow mufflers.

Finally, the interior has also been comprehensively updated and is upholstered in black leather with suede inserts and a headliner that neatly hides the roll cage. What’s more, the Chastizer also has a 2000-watt Kicker stereo system with two 10-inch subwoofers.
