Polaris introduced the 2022 Slingshot late last year and now the lineup is expanding thanks to the introduction of a new special edition known as the Signature LE.

Set to become the Slingshot’s range-topping model, the Signature LE sports a distinctive tri-color exterior that mixes red and black paint with matte bronze accents. They’re joined by black badging, special graphics, and 18- / 20-inch wheels with a bronze finish. Rounding out the highlights are LED lighting units and a “Vented Sport Hood.”

While the Slingshot can’t be described as luxurious, the Signature LE comes loaded with interior amenities including heated and ventilated seats which help to make up for the lack of a climate control system. Buyers will also find a Rockford Fosgate premium audio system with roll hoop speakers as well as a 7-inch Ride Command infotainment system with GPS navigation as well as Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Driven: The Polaris Slingshot Is Fast And Fun, But Stick To The Manual

Last but not least, there’s gloss black trim, red contrast stitching, and an XKGlow ambient lighting system. The latter adds LED accent lighting that can be synchronized to music or manually adjusted using a smartphone app.

Power is provided by a familiar 2.0-liter ProStar four-cylinder engine that produces 178 hp (133 kW / 180 PS) and 120 lb-ft (163 Nm) of torque. That’s significantly less than the SLR and R variants, which feature an upgraded engine that develops 203 hp (151 kW / 206 PS) and 144 lb-ft (195 Nm) of torque. However, customers can get a Stage 1 performance tune that adds 25 hp (19 kW / 25 PS).

The 2022 Polaris Slingshot Signature LE will be headed to dealers shortly and pricing starts at $34,999 USD / $44,199 CAD for models with the five-speed manual and $36,749 USD / $46,699 CAD with the AutoDrive gearbox.
