The elderly driver of a Nissan Juke triggered a multi-car collision in Laguna Hills, California earlier in the month.
The entire incident was caught on the dashcam of a car waiting at an intersection. The black Nissan Juke first comes into view as it enters the intersection in the opposite direction to the cammer, running a red light in the process.
As the Juke meanders through the intersection, it gets T-boned by a small sedan. The force of this impact wrecks the front end of the sedan and triggers the side curtain airbags of the Juke. However, the driver of the Nissan didn’t hit the brakes and instead seems to have pressed on the throttle and proceeded to hit three other vehicles waiting at the red light, including the cammer, a black SUV, and a black Dodge Challenger.

Immediately after the crash, the elderly driver looks visibly distressed as the cammer kindly checks that she is okay and signals for her to turn off the SUV.
It goes without saying that the driver of the Nissan was responsible for the crash having run the red light and then causing the secondary crashes of the trio of cars waiting at the intersection. The dashcam footage ends well before we get to see authorities arriving on the scene but fortunately, it doesn’t appear as though anyone involved was seriously injured.
