Few cars have quite the cult following of the Suzuki Jimny and there is now a particularly striking example rolling around the streets of South Africa.
This particular Jimny was built by Race!, a South African tuning shop that spends most of its time working on supercars and other high-performance machines. Interestingly, the owner of Race! revealed to Cars.co.za that no other vehicle it’s built has attracted as much attention as this Jimny.
Immediately making this Jimny stand out is the fact that it is rocking a widebody kit from Liberty Walk. During this clip, we discover that the owner of this Jimny basically ticked almost every available option Liberty Walk offers for the two-door off-roader.
Driven: 2019 Suzuki Jimny Is Impossible Not To Love
The front fascia immediately catches the eye thanks to a new gloss black grille, Liberty Walk badges, and a new front bumper. The G63 AMG-inspired design continues alongside the sides where the Jimny sports a pair of flared wheel arches that give it more presence on the road.
The rear of the Jimny also makes quite an impression thanks to the matte and gloss black spare wheel cover, the roof-mounted spoiler, and the ‘G mini’ badge. A set of aftermarket wheels finished in black also catches the eye and helps to complete the look. A military grey paint finish was then applied.
While not featured on this particular Jimny, Liberty Walk also offers the Jimny with side-exiting exhausts just like the G63 AMG and G65 AMG models. Admittedly, the tiny Suzuki only features a small 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine with 100 hp and 96 lb-ft (130 Nm) of torque but the new exhaust system makes it stand out even further.
