The Maserati MC20 is the first legitimate supercar from the Italian marque since the Ferrari Enzo-based MC12 and by all accounts, is a superb performer. Nevertheless, one U.S. owner decided to flip their car not long after taking delivery.

This particular 2022 MC20 has been listed up for auction through Bring a Trailer and was purchased new by the seller from Maserati of Santa Monica. It has only been driven 86 miles (138 km) and is being offered with owner’s manuals, accessories, and a clean Montana title. The window sticker reveals it had a sticker price of $250,395 and at the time of writing, with nine days left in the auction, bidding had already hit the $280,000 mark.

Adorning the exterior of the car is a shade of black dubbed Nero Enigma complemented by dark lower accents on the skirts, front splitter, and rear bumper. The supercar is also sitting on 20-inch Corsa wheels with a Matte Dark Miron finish that are wrapped in 245/35 front and 305/30 rear Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires. The owner also optioned the car with a $4,000 suspension lift system and $10,000 carbon ceramic brakes with blue calipers.

A look inside the cabin reveals Nero leather and Alcantara contrasted by Rosso stitching. Among the key features are heated seats, cruise control, a wireless phone charger, a digital rearview mirror, remote start, and an infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The crown jewel of the MC20 is its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 that churns out 621 hp and 538 lb-ft (729 Nm) of torque. Mated to this engine is an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
