Genesis has quietly introduced the new GV80 Prestige Signature in the United States.
Sitting at the top of the range, the limited edition costs $77,200 and features a matte exterior in Melbourne Gray or Matterhorn White. The crossover has also been equipped with matte chrome trim and 22-inch wheels with a dark finish.
Other highlights include LED lighting units, power closing doors, and a power hands-free liftgate. They’re joined by a panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, and a dual exhaust system.

While the matte paint job will likely attract attention, the biggest changes are in the cabin as the GV80 Prestige Signature features a four-seat interior that coddles second-row passengers in luxury. In particular, there are second-row captain’s chairs with six-way power adjustment as well as heating and ventilation.
The seats are separated by a center console, which features a wireless smartphone charger, cup holders, and an assortment of controls. Rear passengers will also find a one-touch “relax mode,” a 110v outlet, vanity mirrors, and power sunshades for the side windows.
The GV80 Prestige Signature comes nicely equipped with Nappa leather, a microfiber suede headliner, and matte wood trim. Buyers will also find a 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment system, a head-up display, and a 21-speaker Lexicon premium audio system. Other amenities include a heated steering wheel, heated / ventilated front seats, a tri-zone climate control system, and adjustable ambient lighting.
An assortment of driver assistance systems come standard including Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Highway Driving Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist. They’re joined by Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Safe Exit Assist, High Beam Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. There are even more assistants including Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist. Rounding out the highlights are a Blind-Spot View Monitor, a Surround View Monitor, Rear Occupant Alert, and digital key technology.
Power comes from a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.
It’s also worth noting the model has an electronically controlled suspension with road preview technology. A forward-facing camera detects upcoming road imperfections so the suspension can adjust its damping force to deliver a more comfortable ride.
Genesis Motor North America public relations manager Jarred Pellat told us the GV80 Prestige Signature is a special edition and is just starting to arrive in the United States. Additional information will be released in the future, but the company noted there is “extremely limited availability.”
