Faraday Future has escaped death on more than a few occasions and shortly after unveiling the production-intent FF 91, the automaker has released a video showcasing some dynamic testing of the vehicle.
Underpinning the Faraday Future FF 91 is the company’s Variable Platform Architecture and it is believed to feature a 130 kWh battery pack that provides the EV with up to 378 miles (608 km) of range. Receiving their juice from this battery pack is a trio of electric motors that are said to produce a combined 1,050 hp, or 30 hp more than the Tesla Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid.

During this clip, Faraday Future’s Vlad Chioreanu tests out the handling of the FF 91 with company founder Yueting Jia. The automaker also performs some acceleration and brake tests of the vehicle and while it’s not the type of vehicle that should thrive around a tight and technical handling circuit, it seems to perform quite well. With that being said, there is a fair amount of body roll which isn’t a surprise considering the vehicle’s weight.
While Faraday Future appears to be in a better financial position now than it was 18 months ago, the automaker’s future remains uncertain.
Faraday Future went public on July 22, 2021, but its shares have collapsed to $5.51, down from a high of $16. The automaker has claimed that it will start production of the FF 91 in the third quarter of this year but many key details about the car remain under wraps. One thing we do know is that it will initially be sold for $180,000 so it likely won’t sell in large numbers.
