The 100,000th example of the all-electric Xpeng P7 rolled off the automaker’s production line last week. It took the Chinese car manufacturer 695 days, or less than two years, since the P7’s official launch on April 27, 2020 to reach this milestone.
To help celebrate this achievement, Xpeng has launched the special P7 562E Black Label Edition that has an all-black exterior finish, including the wheels, and comes complete with the carmaker’s XPILOT 3.0 advanced driver-assistance system with Navigation Guided Pilot and Valet Parking Assist.

Powering the entry-level Xpeng P7 is an 70.8 kWh battery pack and a rear electric motor with 263 hp and 287 lb-ft (390 Nm) of torque. This model is good for 364 miles (586 km) of range on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), while a Super-Long Range variant with an 80.9 kWh boosts this up to 439 miles (706 km).
Those looking for maximum performance can opt for the dual-motor variant capable of hitting 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds. It has a 161 hp electric motor at the front, a 263 hp motor at the rear, and makes a combined 483 lb-ft (655 Nm) of torque. It too has an 80.9 kWh battery and an NEDC range of 349 miles (562 km).
Aiding in the car’s impressive range is the fact that it has a drag coefficient of just 0.236. This figure has been achieved thanks to the very sleek design that includes thin LED light bars at both the front and rear and a panoramic sunroof. The battery pack can be charged from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in as little as 28 minutes and after just 10 minutes of charge, the range can increase by 75 miles (120 km).
Finally, the aforementioned XPILOT 3.0 system is made up of 14 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 5 millimeter-wave radars that allows for Level 2 and Level 3 semi-autonomous driving.
