The Aston Martin DBX707 may outmuscle the Urus but aftermarket tuning specialist McChip-DKR has just released an upgrade package for the Lamborghini that boosts its performance significantly.
McChip refers to this series of upgrades as its ‘Stage 3’ package. It includes upgraded turbochargers, bespoke downpipes with 200-cell sport catalysts, and an engine tune that allows it to pump out an extra 197 hp and 148 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque, meaning this bright green Urus is now churning out 838 hp and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm).

The tuner hasn’t released performance specifications for its upgraded Urus but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was capable of hitting 60 mph (96 km/h) in under 3 seconds as independent tests have shown the standard SUV can hit that mark in 3.1 seconds, if not quicker. The top speed of the SUV has no doubt also been boosted.
Lamborghini Urus owners looking to enjoy all of this extra oomph will need to cough up $16,199 ($18,129).
McChip offers two other tuning kits for the Urus, fittingly dubbed the Stage 1 and Stage 2 packages. The first of these consists exclusively of an ECU remap that boost grunt to 700 hp and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. This kit sets back shoppers €2,499 ($2,797). As for the Stage 2 kit, it adds some mechanical upgrades to the tune and provides an extra 99 hp and 92 lb-ft (125 Nm) over the standard model. The Stage 2 kit costs €10,859 ($12,153).
Lamborghini enthusiasts who would rather not tune the Urus are in luck as Lamborghini itself is developing a faster and more powerful ‘Evo’ variant with speculation it could be a hybrid with over 800 hp.
