Supercars and hypercars are known primarily for their impressive numbers. Although their power figures tend to be quite high, their mileage figures are, with very few exceptions, very low. This is one of those exceptions.
This car, a 2003 Ferrari Enzo, is often called the “MM” Enzo because its owner, Richard Losee, has decided to attempt to make it the model with the most miles. Long used to accomplish tasks no supercar owner in their right mind would use a supercar for, after a long period of existing quietly, it has now been revealed that the car has surpassed the 90,000-mile (144,841 km) mark.
Although the MM Enzo is (and always has been) owned by Richard Losee, it is currently being driven by Instagram’s @dryl8k, which has been posting about the car’s progress on Instagram.

“Literally Soaking up the 90,000 MILES (144,000 kilometers) achievement in the #enzoferrari !! What a Journey!” they wrote. “Special thanks to Richard Losee, the original and current owner, (Google MM Enzo), who passed the torch to me to continue the tradition and care for the MMEnzo. Thanks to all who support us!”
The journey there has been quite a feat and has involved many participants. The car first came to prominence when new when it was handed over to the staff at Road & Track magazine for a full road test. The magazine put the first 1,500 miles (2,414 km) on the car and then put another 10,000 miles (16,093 km) on it when it later became a long-term test car.
Together they helped put 30,000 miles (48,280 km) on the odo but in 2006, the car was involved in an accident that seriously injured Losee. While running at the Utah Highway Patrol’s Fast Pass Charity event, the Enzo went airborne at 206 mph (331.5 km/h) and was wrecked.
Fortunately, both Losee and the Enzo had some great care and they recovered. Unlike its owner, though, the car got some upgrades on its path to recovery in the form of a pair of turbos that helped it produce more than 800 hp (596 kW/811 PS). It has since run at Bonneville, been converted into a targa and back, and has had other modifications besides.
It’s been anything but a straightforward process but has been an interesting project to track. Although it would doubtless be impractical for every supercar to be used this way, it’s hard not to root for this Ferrari Enzo and its bold owner.
