An intriguing 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo modified to look like the spitting image of a 993-generation GT2 has come across our radar after popping up for sale.
While this isn’t a 911 GT2, you could be fooled into thinking that it is thanks to the GT2-style bumpers and fender flares that were added by Virtuoso Performance back in 2017. The German sports car has also been fitted with an enlarged rear wing with integrated air intakes and an adjustable top element. In addition, the car has been repainted in a bright shade of yellow designed to pay homage to the Team Penske RS Spyder race cars.

Various other upgrades have been made to the car. For example, it is rocking 18-inch Speedline wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport N4 tires measuring 235/40 at the front and 295/30 at the rear. The previous owner also had the car equipped with adjustable Bilstein coilovers and red-painted brake calipers.
A look inside the cabin reveals seats trimmed in black leather. In addition, black leather is found across the door panels, dashboard, and center console. The 911 Turbo also features power-adjustable front seats, an Alpine CD stereo system, automatic climate control, and cruise control. One interior component that really catches the eye is the Alcantara-wrapped MOMO steering wheel.
Power comes courtesy of a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six now sporting an upgraded intercooler and aftermarket engine management software. The car sends all of its power to the ground thanks to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential.
The Bring a Trailer listing reveals that the previous owner has spent over $125,000 modifying the car to look the way that it does. It is being sold with the owner’s manuals, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, a clean Montana title, and has a touch over 42,000 miles (~67,500 km) on the clock.
