W Motors is known for the Lykan HyperSport and Fenyr SuperSport but the company is not limited to exotic hypercars. Its latest model, called Giath Smart Patrol, is a bespoke Nissan Patrol-based SUV designed for the Dubai Police, making its debut through a short video published on W Motor’s official website. Note that this model is different from the Giath that was unveiled back in 2018 and is based on the Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban.
The Ghiath is described as “one of the most advanced security vehicles in the world”. W Motors was coy on details in terms of technical specs, but there are strong indications that the SUV is based on the Nissan Patrol. While the body panels and lighting units are new, featuring W Motor’s own design language, the greenhouse and the proportions make it clear that this police car is riding on the sixth-generation Patrol (2010-present).

Besides the special livery with green graphics on a white body, the Ghiath Smart Patrol comes with extra police lights mounted on the roof, the grille, and the tailgate, plus plastic parts protruding from both ends and the roof for a rugged look.
The Patrol origins are evident inside the cabin from the Nissan-sourced steering wheel, the 4WD mode selector, and the climate controls. However, W Motors added an aftermarket digital instrument cluster which looks identical to one we found on Alibaba, a massive touchscreen covering the entire center console, bespoke switchgear, integrated police radio, and another screen on the passenger side showing the feed from security cameras.
Speaking of which, the SUV has plenty of cameras around the bodywork and a 360-degree unit coming out of the roof. Also, the rear part of the cabin is converted for police duties, is fully separated from the driver and features custom plastic seats designed to accommodate potentially dangerous suspects.

We don’t know if W Motors tweaked the powertrain but the stock Nissan Patrol is fitted with a 5.6-liter V8 petrol engine producing 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) or up to 428 hp (319 kW / 434 PS) in the performance-focused Patrol Nismo. Power is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic gearbox and Nissan’s 4WD system.
W Motors claims that the Ghiath Smart Patrol will be produced in its Dubai Silicon Oasis facility as the first of many vehicles developed under the Special Projects Division that’s focused on security, defense, and smart technologies. The range will soon be expanded with the addition of a Ghiath Drone Edition, SWAT vehicles, Rescue and First Responder Vehicles, electric vehicles, e-bikes, and more.
