Powering all standard Nissan 350Z models is a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 and while Nissan updated this engine throughout the car’s production run, it never produced more than 306 hp and 268 lb-ft (363 Nm) of torque. But, for owners looking for more grunt, there are a host of kits out there and this 350Z has some of the wildest powertrain upgrades we’ve seen for quite some time.
The car was recently featured on an episode from That Racing Channel and is rocking a pair of turbochargers. However, these turbos aren’t found under the hood as you might expect and have been instead been rear-mounted, sitting where the rear bumper used to be.
According to the owner, he opted for a rear-mounted turbocharger setup because it was cheaper than some of the under-hood packages that were available. To run the system, various other upgrades have been done to the Japanese sports car, including the fitment of a NACA duct in the rear window that feeds a custom airbox helping to cool the turbochargers.

The modifications don’t stop there as the 3.5-liter engine has new fuel rails and injectors and now pumps out 560 hp to the rear wheels, not far off a brand new Nissan GT-R.
Extensive work has also been done to overhaul the rear suspension with a new pushrod setup that uses a set of adjustable QA1 coilovers. The front end also rocks QA1 coilovers that promises to make the car handle even better. A new set of Brembo brakes have also been fitted after being taken off a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. The 350Z also rocks aftermarket wheels shod in Toyo R88R tires.
Finally, in addition to making all these mechanical modifications, the owner crafted a bespoke widebody kit for the car in his garage.
