Prior to SUVs and crossovers taking over the world, wagons or estates were perhaps the best option for those looking to combine style with practicality and in Australia, the Holden Commodore Sportwagon was one of the most popular.
Holden sold the Commodore Sportwagon in a host of different guises throughout the years, as did its high-performance division HSV. However, rather than buying one of these HSV variants that have soared in value in recent years, the owner of this particular Commodore has an SS V variant and has made a number of modifications to it.

As standard, the Commodore Sportwagon left the factory with a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 pumping out 362 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. That wasn’t enough for Glenn Tronc who recently featured his ride on the Fullboost YouTube channel.
Eager for more performance, he set about thoroughly upgrading the V8’s internals and has then installed a huge 91 mm turbocharger. The result is a Commodore that now pumps out an extraordinary 1,129 hp through the rear wheels and is driven by a manual transmission. This thing is a proper driver’s car then.
Some various other changes have been made to the car. For example, it has been resprayed in a bright shade of red that Holden didn’t offer from the factory. It is also rocking 20-inch gloss bronze wheels and has an air suspension system, allowing Tronc to lower it when he wants to put it on display at a show.
