VW Says Semiconductor Shortage Won’t Be Fixed Until 2024

Volkswagen thinks that the semiconductor crisis won’t be going away any time soon, with their predictions that things won’t be back to normal before 2024. However, VW’s Chief Financial Officer, Arno Antlitz does expect that supplies will improve this year and next. BMW predicts similar, with a “fundamental shortage in 2023,” — bad news for auto manufacturers trying to recover from a rough couple of years.  


Corvette-Based ARES Modena S1 Project Unveiled In Production Guise

The ARES Modena S1 Project has been unveiled — a limited-production V8-powered supercar based on the Chevrolet Corvette. The design has been toned down from the previous concept presented in 2020 after criticism that they had copied the Porsche Electric Le Mans 2035 digital concept from 2015. The body is entirely made of carbon fiber and appears to have nothing in common with the Corvette despite sharing the same underpinnings. ARES Modena didn’t reveal pricing for the supercars, which will be produced in a limited number of 24 units. However, order books are open.


Lincoln Teases New Concept Possibly Previewing Its First Dedicated EV

Lincoln has teased a boxy new concept that will likely preview the brand’s first-ever dedicated EV. The SUV-shaped vehicle appears to be sharp and angular, with the Lincoln logo featured on each quarter panel in addition to the front. The full reveal will take place on April 20th, while Lincoln’s first production EV could be released later this year as a 2023 model.


Chrysler Teases “New Look” For Airflow Concept To Be Unveiled At New York Auto Show


While Chrysler has been left to languish for some time now, Stellantis has promised us it’ll make a return to form in a new electrified era. Signaling this renaissance will be the Airflow Concept, which was first shown at the January Consumer Electronics Show. Now the brand has confirmed a new look for its electric future, with a teaser for a revised Airflow Concept set to debut on Wednesday, April 13, at the New York International Auto Show.


2024 Ford Mustang Gives Us Our First Look Inside Its Fancier And Techier Cabin

Our spies have managed to snap the first interior pictures of the next-generation Ford Mustang. The images reveal a much-improved interior with plenty of tech on offer, including a digital instrument cluster and an all-new infotainment system that flows into the former. We can also see a push-button starter, and a separate volume knob, as well as a “pony” switch, USB ports, a leather-wrapped handbrake, and metallic-rimmed cupholders.


Is This The New Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Off-Roader Before We’re Supposed To See It?

A picture shared on Instagram seems to depict the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato before we’re supposed to see it. It features the hexagonal rally lights seen on the concept, Sterrato lettering on the door, thinner roof bars, and a roof scoop. While remaining skeptical, we may not have too long to wait until the full reveal, with Lamborghini set to show the production car later this year.


2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Debuts With Beefed-Up Suspension, More Power

Nissan is bringing a new edition of the Pathfinder to the New York International Auto Show. The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek will feature a more powerful engine with 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS) and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque vs. the standard 284 hp (212 kW / 288 PS) and 259 lb-ft (351 Nm). It also gets a beefed-up suspension with a 5/8-inch (15.88 mm) lift and includes a set of 18-inch beadlock-style rims shod in grippy all-terrain tires.

Elon Musk Declines Board Seat At Twitter

Elon Musk has abandoned plans to join Twitter’s board. He had previously revealed that he would be taking up the seat, contradicting a regulatory filing that described himself as a passive investor. Neither Musk nor Twitter has confirmed the reason for the u-turn.


Baskin Robins Announces New Logo

Ice Cream shop Baskin Robins is getting a makeover, revealing a revised logo, in addition to changes to employee clothing and packaging. The new logo replaces the playful font of the old with a crisper, capitalized version. The refresh also includes new limited-edition flavors, including Non-Dairy Mint Chocochunk, and Totally Unwrapped, which emulates a deconstructed candy bar.
