Jeep introduced seven off-road prepped concepts for this year’s Easter Jeep Safari event, including four Wranglers, two Gladiators, and one Grand Cherokee. The concepts will participate in the annual safari hosted in Moab, Utah, between April 9 and 17.
Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0
The most important concept is an evolution of last year’s Magneto previewing the first fully electric Wrangler. The 2.0 version is fitted with a significantly more powerful electric powertrain, producing 616 hp (460 kW / 625 PS) and a monstrous 850 lb-ft (1,152 Nm) of torque, taking energy from a 70 kWh battery. This is more than double the power and triple the torque of the original Magneto.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a Hellcat-sourced six-speed manual gearbox allowing a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration in just 2 seconds which represents an all-time record for Wranglers. The Magneto 2.0 concept is also fitted with 40-inch wheels, carbon-fiber parts, a Dynatrac 60 Pro-Rock front axle, a Dynatrac 80 rear axle, lockers, and custom driveshafts. It is based on the two-door Wrangler but it sports a wheelbase stretched by 12 inches and comes with a 3-inch lift kit.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe Concept
The Grand Cherokee with the plug-in hybrid powertrain was chosen to represent Jeep’s mid-size SUV. Naturally, the concept is in the more adventurous Trailhawk trim, with a new set of 20-inch wheels shod in grippy 33-inch BF Goodrich mud-terrain tires. Other modifications over the stock Grand Cherokee include the durable blue paint, the black roof with custom roof rails, and the bespoke interior.
Jeep ’41 Concept
Inspired by the original Jeep Willys from 1941, this Wrangler 4xe is painted in a special olive D.R.A.B. ‘41 matte green shade combined with a beige soft top. The 17-inch Fifteen52 rims with a steelies-look are shod in 35-inch mud terrain tires. Other features include the 2-inch lift kit, the half-doors, and a Warn winch for the military-style Wrangler.
Jeep Rubicon 20th Anniversary Concept
This Wrangler is celebrating 20 years from the launch of the first Rubicon and is painted in Granite Crystal shade with a red interior. It comes fitted with the 6.4-liter V8 featuring a two-mode active exhaust. Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the 17-inch Mopar wheels shod in 37-inch tires, the 2-inch lift kit, and the underbody protection.
Jeep Bob Concept
The Jeep Bob is a chopped-up Gladiator that looks more like a Wrangler with a small rear bed. The cool name refers to the term “bobbing” which means shortening the rear overhang for better off-road credentials. The fenders are also cut in order to accommodate the 20-inch wheels shod in massive 40-inch tires. Other exterior mods include the orange canvas roof, the metal rack on the rear bed, and the extra LEDs on the bespoke bumper. The concept is fitted with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine, while the Dynatrac Pro-Rock 60 axles and the bespoke suspension with a 3-inch lift kit, King Coils and Bypass shocks, should make it unstoppable off the beaten track.
Jeep Performance Parts D-Coder Concept
This flashy Gladiator won’t go unnoticed thanks to the Maraschino Red paint highlighting the 35 Jeep Performance Parts by Mopar components. This makes it more of a demonstration vehicle, with each part (modular bumper, snorkel, winch guard, LEDs, rock rails, tube doors, Thule cargo, etc.) getting a QR code for anyone that is interested.
Jeep Performance Parts Birdcage Concept
The second concept from JPP is based on the Wrangler 4Xe and it kind of looks like a birdcage due to the lack of windscreen, roof, or windows providing passengers with an open-air experience. This one is painted brown, with blue 4xe accents, Rubicon graphics, fender-mounted DRLs, roof-mounted LEDs, a Rhino-Rack roof rack, skid plates, a winch, a set of 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 tires, and Fox shocks with a 2-inch lift kit.
Three More Concepts From SEMA 2021
Besides the aforementioned concept, Jeep will also bring three more Wrangler-based vehicles to the Easter Jeep Safari. Those will be the Wrangler 4xe SEMA Concept, the seven-seater Wrangler Overlook Concept, and the retro-styled Kaiser Jeep M725, all coming from last year’s SEMA show.
