Koenigsegg has just finished building the very first Jesko Absolut development car that it will put through its paces begin commencing customer deliveries of the car.
The Jesko Absolut differs from the Jesko Attack that was presented at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2019 as it isn’t as focused on track performance and is instead more focused on remarkable top speeds. Indeed, this is the car that Koenigsegg could use to set a new production car top speed record having previously claimed the Jesko Absolut has a theoretical top speed of roughly 330 mph (531 km/h).
Powering the Jesko Absolut is a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that is hooked up to a nine-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The car pumps out 1,600 hp and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) of torque while running on E85 fuel and has a drag coefficient of just 0.278 Cd.

Despite being much more slippery than the Jesko Attack, the Absolut still produces a lot of downforce. In fact, it generates a maximum downforce of 3,086 lbs (1,400 kg), including 1,764 lbs (800 kg) at 155 mph (250 km/h) and 2,205 lbs (1,000 kg) at 171 mph (275 km/h).
“The Absolut feels very natural to drive,” says Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh. “Because of its seamless shifting, whether up or down, everything just happens much faster. There are no delays, it is very responsive and behaves exactly the way you would want it to.”
“We spent thousands of hours in CFD calculations. We’ve streamlined this car from not just an aerodynamic and design perspective, but also from a high-speed stability perspective. As a result, the Jesko Absolut has a phenomenally low drag of only 0.278 Cd,” added Christian von Koenigsegg. “The name Absolut comes from the fact that this is the absolute fastest Koenigsegg we will ever make.”
The Jesko Absolut development car is finished in Graphite Grey and comes complete with a plethora of carbon fiber details and Tang Orange stripes.
