Since 2014, the Lamborghini Huracan has impressed on the streets, been modified extensively, and competed on the racing circuits of the world. Now, Lamborghini has announced that after eight years, the model line has passed a venerable milestone with the completion of the 20,000th model.
Destined for an owner in Monaco, Huracan number 20,000 is an STO model finished in Grigio Acheso Matt and is, like all Huracans, powered by a naturally aspirated V10 engine. For duty in this high-performance variant, it makes 631 hp (470kW/640 PS).
Over the years, the Huracan has seen numerous editions and evolved into something of a track weapon. Thanks to clever aerodynamics, in its Performante guise, the Italian supercar managed to set a lap record at the Nurburgring.

“At its unveiling, we said that with the Huracán, Lamborghini is writing the next chapter in its great history,” says Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. “The Huracán has delivered an evolution of design, technological know-how, driving adventures, track records, and sales records since its launch.”
Since its inception, no country has enjoyed the Huracan quite as much as the U.S. Americans have purchased a third of all models historically, followed by the U.K. and Greater China. Perhaps as a testament to its performance bona fides, since its creation, just 29 percent of all buyers have opted for open-air derivatives of the car, with the vast majority choosing coupe versions instead. Moreover, an impressive 60 percent of all Huracans have been customized in-house through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam services.
The latest addition to the Huracan lineup is the recently unveiled Tecnica. The rear-wheel-drive model seeks to be the perfect vehicle for both the track and the road and it shares its engine with the STO, meaning it can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. That’s not the end of the story for the car, though. Lamborghini plans to unveil another variant of the Huracan this year, which is likely to be off-road oriented.
