Lotus has announced its first “global store” set to open this autumn as the brand’s beacon in central London, UK, followed by similar premises in major cities around the world. The two-storey dealership called Lotus Mayfair is already under construction at a strategic location at 73 Piccadilly on the corner of Berkeley Street which is across from the famous Ritz Hotel.
When finished, the 420 square meter (4,521 square foot) store will include a three-car showroom on the ground floor with enough space for Lotus merchandise. This doesn’t sound like much but it can fit Lotus’ current range of vehicles comprising the Eletre electric SUV, the Emira ICE-powered sportscar, and the Evija electric hypercar.

The store will also have a VIP lounge with a digital configuration site for prospective buyers. This will make use of the new e-commerce platform that is already serving Lotus customers online, allowing them to configure and buy its models.
Lotus Mayfair will also serve as the London home for the Lotus Advanced Performance division, which was recently launched for bespoke projects. Geoff Dowding, Executive Director of Sales and Aftersales at Lotus, expects the flagship facility to attract visitors from all over the world. Thus, it will be hosting special models from Lotus’ history and have a full schedule of events.
Lotus has recently upgraded its showrooms in order to align with the brand’s latest visual identity. Finished stores can already be found in the Middle East (Bahrain), the UK (Exeter), Europe (Brussels, Belgium and Turin, Italy), and the USA (Dallas and Texas), while more Lotus Centers will get similar upgrades in the coming months.
