If you’re in the market for one of the most outlandish electric vehicles currently on the market, then look no further than the 2022 GMC Hummer EV, particularly in Edition 1 guise.

This is the first variant of the Hummer EV to hit the market and with a starting price of $112,595, it’s certainly not cheap. It’s also sold out, making this example currently up for auction through Cars & Bids all the more desirable.

It is unclear why exactly the owner of this GMC Hummer EV Edition 1, one of just 1,200 units bound for the production line, is selling it so soon after collecting the keys to it in March. Nevertheless, there is a lot of demand for the pickup, so much so that bidding has already exceeded the $150,000 mark.

As an Edition 1 model, this Hummer EV is fully-loaded. As such, it features the flagship tri-motor electric powertrain that churns out a remarkable 1,000 hp. It also comes equipped with things like Air Ride adaptive suspension, General Motor’s Super Cruise driver-assistance system, four-wheel steering, the unique Crab Walk mode, and a massive 212.7 kWh battery pack giving the 9,000+ lbs (4,082 kg) behemoth a range of 329 miles (529 km).

The listing notes that other key features of the pickup include a trailering package, infinity roof with removable panels, a Bose premium sound system, three-zone automatic climate control, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Hummer EV Edition 1 has 4,200 miles (6,759 km) under its belt and does have a cracked windshield, although the seller notes that a replacement has been ordered. There are also minor tonneau cover and inner tailgate release issues that will be fixed under warranty before the keys are handed over to the winning bidder.

It will be interesting to see how much the Hummer sells for. A similar Edition 1 with just 800 miles (~1,287 km) on the clock sold for a jaw-dropping $275,000 earlier this month.
