Cadillac opened orders for the 2023 Lyriq earlier today and it appears there was plenty of demand as all of them have already been spoken for.
A note on the company’s website reveals that “2023 Lyriq pre-orders are now full,” but would-be customers can still sign up for a spot on the pre-order waitlist. This means they could potentially snag a 2023 Lyriq if one becomes available but, if not, they’ll be first in line to pre-order the 2024 model.
Speaking of the 2024 Lyriq, Cadillac said initial deliveries are expected to begin in the spring of 2023. However, “full vehicle features, specs, pricing and colors” will be announced closer to the start of production.

Getting back to the 2023 Lyriq, it carries a base price of $62,990 and is billed as a “rare convergence of art, technology and performance.” It features a 100 kWh battery pack that powers a rear-mounted electric motor developing 340 hp (254 kW / 345 PS) and 325 lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque. This setup gives the crossover an EPA-estimated range of 312 miles (502 km) on a single charge.
Deliveries are slated to begin this fall and the model will be followed by an all-wheel drive variant early next year. The $64,990 crossover will have a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that develops a combined output of approximately 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and this will enable the model to tow up to 3,500 lbs (1,588 kg).
The strong demand for the Lyriq isn’t surprising as the Lyriq Debut Edition sold out in minutes and 70 percent of them were snapped up by conquest buyers.
