Two weeks after unveiling the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, Bentley announced a special edition of its new flagship created to celebrate its arrival. The Bentayga EWB Azure First Edition will be available for a limited production run of 12 months, with more generous equipment and a few exclusive features.
As with previous Bentley First Editions, the Bentayga EWB gets special badging on both the exterior and the interior. Besides the extra emblems, the SUV comes with a unique set of ten-spoke 22-inch wheels, jewelled caps for the oil and fuel filters, and a bright chrome pattern in the bumper intakes matching the shiny grille. Owners can choose from the 16 exterior finishes included in the standard palette, or from the wider spectrum of 60+ colors in the optional Extended Paint Range.

Inside, the “First Edition” logo is embroidered on the handcrafted quilted leather seats which come standard with contrast stitching and piping. There is a selection of different kinds of veneers including Crown Cut Walnut, Dark Burr Walnut and Koa, or sportier options like simple carbon-fiber, pearl-like Piano Linen by Mulliner or Dark Tint Diamond Brushed Aluminum.
Depending on the specification, 0.075 mm think handcrafted metal overlays can be applied to the veneer on the dashboard and the doors. Standard equipment includes illuminated treadplates, power-closing rear doors, 30-color ambient lighting (Bentley Diamond Illumination), heated steering wheel, an array of ADAS, and the 20-speaker Naim for Bentley audio with 1,720 Watt that is considered one of the best of its kind.
While equipment is pretty generous, there are still optional features like the Bentley Rear Entertainment system which adds two 10.1-inch screens for the rear passengers allowing them to stream content from their smartphones.
The Bentayga EWB First Edition is fitted with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox allowing a 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, and a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
Bentley didn’t reveal pricing for the Bentayga EWB yet, with the First Edition expected to be the pricier of the bunch, setting aside any limited-production Mulliner-badged specials that will likely follow.
