Classic vehicle electrifiers Everrati Automotive Limited and respected vehicle restorers Hilton & Moss have partnered to work on cars together. Their first project, a Mercedes-Benz W113 SL “Pagoda” that has been restored and fitted with electric motors, is nearly ready to go on sale.

“Everrati prides itself on working with partners who meet extremely high-quality standards. With its industry-leading expertise in Mercedes-Benz vehicles and passion for exquisite restoration,” said Justin Lunny, Everrati CEO. “We’re excited to work with such an established name in the world of classic vehicles and look forward to offering more redefined iconic models in partnership with Hilton & Moss in the future.”

Hilton & Moss have earned a reputation as some of the finest restorers in the U.K., working with OEMs like Jaguar and Aston Martin. Its history of working on Mercedes vehicles, though, stretches back more than 40 years.

As a result, the W113 SL that the companies will sell receives a loving and respectful restoration. Stripped to its bare chassis, repaired, and sealed, the cars will then be meticulously built back up using original, refreshed parts where possible. The company claims that the cars will now be in more exquisite condition than they were when they left the factory.

Everrati then updates the drivetrain to produce 180 hp (134kW/182 PS), 12 more than the car originally made. The real gains are in torque, though, where the electric motors are more than twice as powerful as the original engine.

That allows the updated car to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in seven seconds, 1.8 seconds faster than it originally could. It also gets a range of more than 160 miles (257 km) thanks to a 57 kWh battery. The company claims that the update has been made respectfully so as to not overwhelm the car and rob it of its classic charm.

“The fabric of Hilton & Moss is woven with the spirit of Mercedes-Benz, complementing our comprehensive experience with a broad portfolio of prestige marques,” said Peter Hilton, founder of the Hilton Group. “Everrati’s EV technology and engineering bring another exciting dimension to this experience, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to offer our combined expertise to customers seeking a stylish and thrilling classic motoring experience.”

Prices for the electrified Mercedes-Benz W113 SL “Pagoda” start at £295,000 ($368,282 USD at current exchange rates) and Everrati is taking preorders now.
