Genesis has announced full pricing and availability details for the all-electric GV60 in the British market.

The more upmarket and luxurious sibling to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 will be sold in the UK in Premium, Sport, and Sport Plus guises. The entry-level Premium starts at £47,005 ($58,087) and is powered by a single electric motor powering the rear wheels and pumping out 168 kW (226 hp). This variant also has a quoted range of 321 miles (517 km), the highest of any GV60 model.

Sitting above the Premium in the range is the GV60 Sport. This version is available from £53,605 ($66,243) and sports a 160 kW (214 hp) motor at the rear and a 74 kWh (99 hp) motor at the front. This variant is also good for 292 miles (470 miles) of range. Last but not least is the GV60 Sport Plus, priced from £64,405 ($79,590) and sporting a dual electric motor powertrain that ordinarily produces a combined 320 kW (429 hp) but can deliver 360 kW (482 hp) for 10-second bursts with the Boost mode. The range for the Sport Plus sits at 289 miles (465 km).

All three variants of the Genesis GV60 available in the UK support 350 kW charging, allowing for the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes.

A number of options packages are available for British buyers. These include the £2,070 ($2,558) Innovation Pack, £2,790 ($3,447) Comfort Seat Pack, £600 ($741) 2nd Row Comfort Seat pack, £2,310 ($2,854) Nappa Leather Seats Package, £880 ($1,087) Outdoor Pack, a £1,120 ($1,384) sunroof, £990 ($1,223) Bang & Olufsen Audio System, and £1,240 ($1,532) for cameras in place of the standard wing mirrors.

“GV60 represents a major milestone in our electrification journey,” Genesis Motor Europe managing director Dominique Boesch said in a statement. “This vehicle combines premium performance and intuitive technology to provide a new generation of electric vehicle customers an electric experience without compromise. This is the first of three electric models launching this year and GV60 is signalling the brand’s commitment towards full electrification by 2025.”

Pre-orders are already open and sales of the Genesis GV60 will officially start on June 6. The first customer deliveries will also take place on the same day.
