When people say they’re “driving a boat” in reference to a car, they often mean that it’s big, cumbersome, and floaty. However, if one were to say that about this “NautiTruck” up for auction on Cars & Bids, they’d simply be telling the truth, as the odd creation is literally a boat body mounted to a truck frame.
More specifically, it’s a 1986 Ford F-150 frame with the body of a 1983 Correct Craft Ski Nautique 2001 ski boat, and it features a host of custom fabrication to make that body work. The most notable one is the fact that it had to be converted to left-hand drive to match the pickup underneath since the boat originally had all its controls on the right side. The original controls are still there, but they don’t do anything. Other accommodations include a new floor, custom seating for 5, and a roll bar.

The boat-truck has auxiliary engine gauges, but there isn’t a speedometer. That being said, even though it has a license plate, we don’t know how street legal it really is, so a lack of speed measurement might not be that big of an issue. There’s also no odometer so the total mileage is unknown, but given the rough shape this vehicle’s in, mileage is probably the least of your concerns. Nevertheless, with the bidding currently at $1,700, it could be a fin fixer-upper to show off to your friends.

The stock Ford 4.9L inline-six that powers the NautiTruck would normally send around 122 hp (124 PS / 91 kW) and 255 lb-ft (346 Nm) of torque to the rear wheels, but the seller mentions this engine boasts some modifications that could potentially increase power, namely in the form of a new intake and dual-plane carburetor. The driver is also able to row their own gears (boat pun intended) by way of a four-speed manual transmission. Unfortunately, though, this vehicle isn’t amphibious, so you’ll have to stick to land when motoring around on the truck’s all-terrain tires.
