Pininfarina is the latest company in the automotive space to venture into the world of NFTs, announcing a series of digital art based on the 1970 Pininfarina Modulo concept car and set to be available on RM Sotheby’s.
The project has come to life thanks to a partnership with luxury NFT specialists 1of1, ARTM Technologies, and artist Sasha Sirota. The series will be limited to five individual NFTs.
The famed Italian design house says the NFT collection comprises of original and unique sketches of the Modulo that were created in 1970 and preserved in Pininfarina’s private archive and never shown to the public. Winning bidders will own a special digital booklet of unseen sketches as well as two limited-edition physical prints of the artwork signed by company chairman Paolo Pininfarina.
In addition, the NFT collection includes artistic digital renderings, video-animation NFTs, and an exclusive soundtrack produced by Sasha Sirota. Each NFT will present the Module in a different time period ranging from the 1970s through to 2020. The NFTs are dubbed Module 70, 80, 90, 00, and 10, referring to their corresponding decades.
