Power rises to 184 hp and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) in 320i models while the 330i lifts grunt further to 245 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm). All of the same design changes have been made to the European 3-Series as those to be sold in other markets. As such, BMW has redesigned the headlights and kidney grille, resulting in quite an attractive front end. Changes have also been made to the rear, most notably with the fitment of tweaked taillights and a new bumper.

Minimal changes have been made to the cabin of the refreshed 3-Series Sedan and Touring with the exception of a new curved display housing a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen.

BMW will build both the new 3-Series Sedan and 3-Series Touring at its Munich plant. The Sedan will also be built at its Mexican plant in San Luis Potosi for North America, while a Chinese-version of the Sedan will be manufactured at the Shenyang plant operated by the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture.
