Toyota’s Modellista division is best known for its eye-catching body kits but has just partnered up with Seiko to launch a new timepiece.
The watch developed by the two companies is equipped with a Japanese solar quartz movement and sports a stainless steel 39.5mm case. There are three different faces that customers can choose from, all of which have glowing hands, glowing markers, and a perpetual calendar.
One intriguing design aspect is the uniquely-shaped second and minute hands that have a shape mimicking one of the side skirts developed by Modellista.

As far as car maker-related timepieces go, the ones from Modellista and Seiko are relatively affordable. Two of the three available models start at 49,500 yen ($388) while the most expensive of the three is available for 55,000 yen ($432).
The most recent timepiece we saw from a famed watch manufacturer and a car company was the Jacob & Co Jean Bugatti unveiled in late March. This watch is inspired by designer and engineer Jean Bugatti and is available with a rose gold case and cream-white dial or with a white gold case with a blue dial. Just 57 examples of the watch are being produced.
However, that watch isn’t the most expensive created by Jacob & Co and Bugatti. In February, the Bugatti Chiron Blue Sapphire Crystal was announced and starts from a cool $1.5 million. This timepiece features 578 hand-decorated and hand-assembled components making up the complex mechanism. The watch also features a fully-functional replica of the Chiron’s 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 where the pistons move and the turbochargers spin.
