The Porsche 911 GT3 is one of the most universally loved cars among enthusiasts and is fitted with a truly iconic engine. These factors make this video particularly painful to watch.
The clip was recently shared on TikTok and shows the hapless driver of a 992-generation 911 GT3 attempting to maneuver the car around a parking lot. Unbeknownst to the driver, however, is the fact that they are riding the clutch almost the entire time, inevitably causing damage to the sports car that will not be cheap to repair.

Initially, the driver can be heard riding the clutch and pinning the throttle at the same time. This appears to inadvertently enable the launch control system. Then the driver can be seen pulling in and out of a parking spot, riding the clutch the entire time, seemingly with no idea of how to actually drive a car with a stick shift. If you start to shed tears at this point, we won’t blame you.
What’s particularly bizarre about the clip is that a number of men can be seen standing near the GT3 and presumably, they know the driver. Not one of them appears to show any concern for what is happening. At one stage, one man approaches the car and steps into the passenger seat while the owner rides the clutch and revs the 4.0-liter flat-six through to its redline. He doesn’t show even an ounce of concern and instead, seems quite impressed with the soundtrack.
Porsche sells the 911 GT3 with both a six-speed manual and a PDK dual-clutch. If any Porsche representative sees this video, hopefully they’ll let the owner know that the PDK would have been the better choice.
