If you’ve ever wanted to own a car that evokes memories of the ’80s, then this 1984 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC could be right up your alley.
This particular 500 SEC was up for sale courtesy of Bonhams in the UK having resided in the country since it was first registered in 1985. It has been equipped with a number of modifications from Lorisner and sports an all-white finish.
The listing reveals that this 500 SEC has spent quite a lot of time in storage since 2010 and was recently acquired by the seller and recommissioned. As part of the recommissioning, the paint and interior were refreshed.

The exterior finish is known as 737 Classic White and while the paintwork isn’t perfect, it does look to be in very good condition considering the car’s age. Beautifully complementing the paint are white 16-inch wheels and front and rear valances from Lorinser. The exterior of the car also features various chrome trimmings and the Mercedes is rocking a set of Riken Road Performance tires that were fitted earlier this year.
Found in the cabin is Mushroom-colored leather across the door panels, transmission tunnel, and dashboard. Adding to the 1980s vibe is the wooden veneer, particularly across the center console and dashboard. A four-spoke Momo steering wheel was also fitted as part of the Lorinser upgrades. While most of the cabin is standard, the car has been fitted with a Kenwood KRC-1022D radio/cassette player.
Powering this classic S-Class is the original V8 engine which, in its day, produced 228 hp (170 kW) at 4,750 rpm and was enough to send the car through to a 140 mph (225 km/h) top speed.
