Aerodynamic Development Race Optimization (ADRO) today unveiled its take on the Tesla Model Y and Model 3. Improved with the thorough use of carbon fiber, the vehicles not only look more exciting than they did from the factory, they’re actually tangibly improved, too.
Customers are able to choose from one front lip, two side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a spoiler. All are made of super-premium dry prepreg carbon fiber instead of wet carbon. That makes the material stronger and lighter, at the price of making it more expensive to produce.
For a company intent on making high-quality race-ready parts, though, the decision was necessary and is part of its commitment to performance. Indeed, ADRO promises that each vehicle it produces benefits from better overall handling and greater acceleration. Specifically, that means a 4.4 percent reduction in drag for its Model Y and a 3.2 percent improvement for its Model 3.

“At ADRO, our clients crave designs that are unique to them while improving both form and function,” said Sean Yoon, ADRO’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our focus is on creating a special vehicle aesthetic that matches their personality while serving to improve vehicle performance. For EV owners, efficiency is very important, so ADRO Model 3 and Model Y customs reduce drag and improve aero efficiencies with light, durable, beautifully made carbon fiber.”
The company said that it is now accepting pre-orders for the full Model Y and Model 3 carbon fiber customs and the parts are expected to be ready this summer.
Prices start at $68,490 for the fully modified Model Y and $52,490 for the similarly improved Model 3. If you just want the body kits, for which ADRO is also accepting pre-orders, they can be had for $5,500.
