Cadillac has dropped a new teaser image of its upcoming GTP Hypercar ahead of its unveiling on June 9.
The new racer has been designed to comply with IMSA and ACO regulations and will contest IMSA’s upcoming Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class. It is scheduled to make its racing debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January 2023 and will also compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This teaser shared to Twitter previews the front of the race car. As shown in previous teasers, we can see that it sports complex LED headlights and has a forged carbon fiber front splitter. Also visible is a painted Cadillac badge on the nose and a flying buttress over the front wheel designed to aid in aerodynamics.

“While the new race car will take into account IMSA and ACO regulations, Cadillac’s brand characteristics will be instantly recognizable, many of which are seen on our V-Series vehicles today,” Cadillac lead exterior creative designer Chris Mikalauskas said in a statement earlier this year. “It will artistically combine form and function to influence the development of the forthcoming race car. Elements of Cadillac’s brand DNA, such as vertical lighting and floating blades, will be present throughout.”
Powertrain details about the Cadillac GTP Hypercar remain unclear but we know the race car is being developed alongside Dallara.
Cadillac isn’t the only car manufacturer gearing up to unveil its new hypercar. BMW will present its racer on June 6 before it too makes its competitive debut at next year’s Rolex 24. Like the Cadillac GTP Hypercar, it has been developed alongside Dallara and will be eligible to compete at Le Mans where it will run alongside entrants from Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, Acura, Toyota, Peugeot, Ferrari, and Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus.
