The GMC Hummer EV is still quite hard to come by and used car dealers are making the most of the limited supply. Case in point, this dealership in Lincolnwood, Illinois that’s looking to sell a used Hummer EV Edition 1 for $249,000.
The Edition 1 variant of the GMC Hummer EV is the most expensive and fastest variant of the electric truck. Before it sold out, customers could pick up the keys to one for $110,295, which itself is a rather hefty amount of money to spend on a pickup truck. However, that MSRP now seems cheap compared to what the truck is trading hands for on the used car market.
In April, a near-identical Hummer EV Edition 1 to the example in question was sold on Bring a Trailer for $275,000 with 800 miles under its belt.

The Zeigler Buick GMC of Lincolnwood dealership selling this Hummer hasn’t provided all that many details about it, other than the fact that it has only been driven 419 miles (674 km) and is painted in Interstellar White. Found in the cabin is the Lunar Horizon theme that combines Jet Black and Light Grey surfaces. It all looks rather space-age and despite the astronomical asking price, could sell quite quickly.
The powertrain of the Hummer EV Edition 1 is quite something to behold. It features a 212.7 kWh battery pack that forms a structural part of the chassis and powers three electric motors to make for a combined 1,000 hp and 1,200 lb-ft (1,625 Nm) of torque. The GMC’s battery pack is so massive that it alone weighs more than a Mazda MX-5 Miata and all up, the truck has a curb weight of 9,063 lbs (4,111 kg). That figure makes its 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of 3 seconds all the more remarkable.
