Dodge is set to host a special ‘Speed Week’ event on the famed Woodward Avenue in Michigan to tell the world about its electrification plans.
The multi-day event will kick off on August 12 with a press preview the day before the MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge drag racing event. On August 13, a number of activities will be available for Dodge fans at M1 Concours in Pontiac, Michigan.
The highlight of Dodge Speed Week will be the unveiling of new Dodge brand products over three consecutive nights from August 15-17. The unveilings will be held for members of the media and invited guests and start on the 15th with “current muscle announcements” and be followed on the 16th with a “gateway muscle announcement” and a “future muscle announcement” on the 17th.

“There’s no better place to unveil a new performance direction for the Dodge brand than right on Woodward Avenue in metro Detroit, with tens of thousands of our closest fans and friends,” Dodge brand chief executive Tim Kuniskis said in a statement. “We introduced our two-year Never Lift road map last year at Roadkill Nights, and this year the event will serve as the prelude to going wide open throttle on Never Lift. All I can say is the future of our brand will be on display during Dodge Speed Week, and we’re throwing open our garage doors so our fans can get a peek for themselves. It’s going to be an electric summer for Dodge.”
