Lynk & Co has used their Spring/Summer Conference to introduce The Next Day concept.

Billed as a new energy four-door GT, the concept has an edgy front fascia with vertical lighting units as well as hidden sensors that reside in a lower “tech band” with a powered cover.

Moving further back, we can see a canopy-like greenhouse, aerodynamic wheels, and streamlined bodywork. They’re joined by illuminated fender accents and a dynamic shoulder line that splits into a Y-shape in the middle of the rear doors. Other notable highlights include a panoramic glass roof as well as doors that open upward and outward.

Out back, The Next Day has been equipped with minimalist taillights that are connected by a thin illuminated stripe. The concept also has an aggressive rear bumper and an upper section that rises to act as a spoiler.

Lynk & Co didn’t say much about the interior, but it features a yoke-style steering wheel with an integrated display. It’s joined by a minimalist dashboard, a widescreen infotainment system, and velvet covered zero gravity front seats. We can also see a floating center console and what appears to be wood trim.

The concept apparently previews Lynk & Co’s new styling direction and Car News China reports it has an E-Motive powertrain, which uses an engine to power the front wheels as well as an electric motor to power the ones out back.  This setup apparently enables the concept to act as both a hybrid and as an EV.

While a lot of details have likely been lost in translation, a promo video suggests the concept features facial recognition technology, autonomous driving tech, and a head-up display.
