No less than 25,831 examples of the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette were built over the past year and a breakdown of sales gives us an interesting insight into what buyers want.
Details reported by the National Corvette Museum reveal that of the 25,831 Corvettes built for the 2022 model year, 13,451 of them were Coupes while the remaining 12,380 were Convertibles. The United States was by far the largest market for the C8 with 23,503 total deliveries consisting of 12,174 Coupes and 11,329 Convertibles.
In the Great White North, a total of 1,014 Corvette models were sold, making it the second largest market ahead of Europe with 693 sales, Australia and New Zealand with 212 sales, the Middle East with 176, Japan where 147 Corvettes were sold, and Mexico where 78 cars found new homes.

Most Popular Trims And Package
Many were left stunned when Chevrolet announced a sub-$60,000 starting price for the C8 Corvette’s first model year in 2020. While it remains affordable compared to the competition, only 15.4 per cent of 2022 buyers opted for the entry-level 1LT package, while 42.8 per cent went with the 2LT and 41.8 per cent selected the 3LT.
Additionally, an impressive 68.6 per cent of all buyers optioned the Z51 Performance Package. Other popular options included the NPP Performance Exhaust that was fitted to 86.9 per cent of all 2022 Corvettes produced and the front lift that was chosen on 58.8 per cent of cars.
The production statistics also break down the popularity of each available color. Torch Red remains the most popular, accounting for 4,147 units. It was followed by Arctic White (3,603), Hypersonic Gray (3,291), Red Mist (3,274), Black (2,744), Rapid Blue (2,261), Elkhart Lake Blue (1,412), Amplify Orange (1,375), Ceramic Matrix Gray (1,202), Accelerate Yellow (1,193), Silver Flare (922), and Caffeine (385).
